Yongnuo 560 Real World Guide Number Table
Flash guide number for the Yongnuo 560 was measured before. What’s new now is a full guide number table with the manufacturer specs versus the Speedlights.net test results – see here below; go for more information to the YN 560 review test results page.
Guide number tables for other models of camera flash can be found in the respective reviews, for example for Yongnuo 460 Mark II, Nikon SB-600, or Nissin Di622 Mark II. The new Nikon SB-700 will soon be added with full guide number test results, too.
Yongnuo Speedlite YN 460-II Review (Manual Flash)
The YN 460 Mark II, the second flash from the Chinese Yongnuo brand, is an upgraded version of the original YN460.
The big difference is an increased guide number which reaches now 38 in the specs (and 34 in reality as you’ll see further below), compared to GN 33 (official) /28 (real) for the 460 “mark 1″ flash.
Luckily, the price has only been moderately increased, making this a very attractive offer for off-camera flash to use with radio triggers.
Yongnuo Guide Numbers and Flash Comparison
TTL Flashes
Yongnuo currently offers 3 different TTL flashes, all part of the 460 line which means they share the casing and overall design. Among them, the YN465 is the simplest and cheapest (and my favorite), while the YN468 is the most advanced with an LCD screen on the back, but it’s also the only one that’s available for Canon only.
Yongnuo YN-465 Flash Review (digital AF speedlite)
If you’re looking for a digital flash for under 100$ your options are pretty limited; there is certainly nothing you could buy new from Canon or Nikon for that budget.
But how about a TTL flash for under 75$? With an additional “M” mode for “strobist” photography on top? That’s what you get with the Yongnuo YN-465!
The YN465, the first TTL model from the Chinese photo accessories company, is basically a TTL-enabled YN460. It is available in a Canon E-TTL (II) version or as a Nikon i-TTL model.
Yongnuo Speedlite YN-467 Review (Canon / Nikon Flash)
The YN467 is the 2nd below-$100 digital TTL flash model from Yongnuo and available in both Canon and Nikon versions.
It’s an upgraded YN-465, featuring an auto zoom reflector covering 24-85mm (or around 16-56mm for APS-C bodies). The 2 optical slave modes – known from the YN-460 (II) – are also back on the list. Finally, you can set a flash exposure compensation on the unit direct, and not only on the camera body.

Unboxing YN-467 for Nikon
My Yongnuo YN-467 has arrived today – super fast shipping from Hong Kong, I had bought it just 8 days ago from the manufacturer’s store on eBay! First impression is rather good, just like the other speedlites from the 460 series from China. I will start testing very soon, here’s an ‘unboxing video’ to kick the series off.
Go here for the full review of the Yongnuo 467 – there were some interesting discoveries during the tests.
Yongnuo YN-467 Nikon Available Now
Finally: the Nikon version of the YN-467 i-TTL and strobist flash is available for sale from the manufacturer store hkyongnuophotoequipment on eBay, or also from other sellers. With this model, the Chinese manufacturer has issued their second Nikon i-TTL unit after the YN-465 which lacks the zooming capabilities of the 467 but has proven to be a very reliable partner on the D90. I have certainly ordered one and will report on the test results as soon as it has arrived and undergone some testing.
